The Mistake Workshop Online
DIY SOLUTIONS for home improvement
In this workshop, I will tell you and show you everything you want to know about furniture restoration, artistic furniture painting, and the creative upcycling of “trash.”
Why take this online course with me when there are so many free videos out there?
- Years of experience, trial and error, exposure, and even more devotion and love have provided me with a wealth of knowledge.
- Generosity! I don’t keep secrets because I don’t believe they belong to me. In all those countless hours of trying to find the right solution or the right material, I feel I was being granted access to a ‘storehouse of solutions’ that’s always there, inexhaustible, waiting to be discovered.
- Everything you’ll learn goes beyond just furniture. You’ll also make unique gifts, decorate personal and professional spaces, weddings, baptisms, parties, and even the walls of your vacation home—all while creatively upcycling items and materials you would have otherwise just thrown away.
- I want you to know that everything is possible and everything has a way. I know because I’ve done it. And if even one person can do it, so can you!
- Signing up for this workshop will make you part of a fun-loving group that will be with you every step of the way on your creative journey. I’ll answer your questions and support your first steps through video calls and individual or group discussions online.

My name is Alexandra, and I’ve been into crafts since I was a child. I’m self-taught, with a degree in textile dye chemistry, and I’ve attended courses in sewing, architectural lighting, lighting design, management, and decorative painting. I come from a family of seamstresses who taught me the value of recycling, the joy of making, and the independence that comes with mastering a craft.
After a long career in sales and financial management, I finally gave in to my true passion: crafting and interior design. I’ve worked on Greek islands and learned alongside both traditional craftsmen and artistic furniture painters, with persistence and devotion.
For the past 12 years, I’ve been professionally engaged in furniture restoration and the creation of decorative and functional objects. I’m the founder of The Mistake Workshop, which began as a beautiful physical space in Moschato, Athens, and evolved into a mobile project expressed in various creative ways, while remaining true to its original purpose: transforming experiences into beauty and sustainability.
I’ve also been part of the administrative team of the art seminar space “Mikro Polytechnio” since 2010.
I look forward to co-creating a world we love!
